We hope to find enough Local Co-ordinators to provide a presence for the credit union in every branch, so that members of the credit union have someone they can speak to about any queries or problems.
Local Co-ordinators are the first line of contact for members & potential members. It is therefore essential for PCS Credit Union’s reputation to ensure that we have high calibre representatives as the face of the credit union who are both knowledgeable and people-focused. It is also important that volunteers are supporters of PCS Trade Union as the credit union will be a key member benefit. To ensure that these criteria are fulfilled, references will be taken up for all applicants, followed by seeking branch endorsement. This mirrors the process followed for the overseeing Study Group who will form the Board of Directors & the Supervisory Committee once the credit union launches.
Once the above checks have been completed, you will receive a letter from the project team outlining next steps, including your initial training session. Training sessions will be held periodically on a regional basis by Study Group member(s) who will also be your Regional Contact(s). You will also be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure member information is treated appropriately.
