PCS Union Newsflash - 24th November 2009

PCS members all across the UK have been contacting their PCS representatives, furious at news of further pay freezes and bonuses for a select few - despite the company announcing earlier today that profits are up by 18%. This means that the company has made a net profit of $2.4 billion in the last quarter.

Your PCS GEC will be meeting to discuss our response to such blatant profiteering at the expense of our members. We will be considering what action we propose to take should the company continue with such a narrow minded view where the rewards for senior managers and shareholders are put before the needs of the workers who actually deliver the profits.

In the meantime, if you are angry that HP are making such large profits while our jobs and pay are cut, then please complete the letter of protest that is automatically sent to your local MP. The exercise takes less than a minute and helps us send a clear message to the politicians and managers that the behaviour of the senior management board at HP is unacceptable.
