Public and Commercial Services Union

Whilst members are part of the main PCS union, as individuals in private industry they often face different challenges and work place practices to those members within the public sector.

Many of our members were originally employed within the public sector, but over time their areas of work have been privatised and they have TUPE transferred across to the private sector, often more than once.

We also recognise that many members may never have been employed in the public sector, but decided to join the union to protect their best interests.

Commercial Break is aimed at all our privatised members, however they came to be part of the commercial sector, to address issues that are of particular interest and concern to them.
