Working Links welcome page

Welcome to the page for PCS members at Working Links. It aims to provide you with the latest news and information about our union, PCS, at Working Links.

Working Links has been growing over recent months and now employs over 2,000 people around the country on DWP and other government contracts. Our membership within the company has also been growing, and we are building a network of representatives throughout the UK to ensure you can have a local voice.

We are also seeking to develop collective bargaining in areas where we have enough members – generally, where we represent over 50% of the workforce. Collective bargaining means that we negotiate with the company on pay and other terms and conditions. Members tell us that the way that pay has been dealt with by the company this year has caused resentment and hit morale.

Recent member feedback tells us that another major issue at present is the company’s use of capability procedures.

There is also continuing uncertainty around the Government’s plans for the Work Programme raises concerns about possible future TUPE transfers and even redundancies – all of which a strong PCS can help members deal with.

We will be expanding these pages over the coming months, with more information about issues facing members in Working Links.

In the meantime, if you have any matters on which you need advice or support, you can contact one of the representatives listed below, call the Commercial Sector on 0207 801 2667.
