A bit about our union and Working Links

Working Links is an organisation that runs welfare to work schemes and currently employs 1200 employees across the country.

PCS is the recognised union within the company following a strategic agreement signed by the managing director of the company and PCS. Workplace reps are then elected to serve their regions.

There are many issues facing union members in Working Links and the last couple of years have seen redundancies as contracts come to an end and government funding is withdrawn.

Recently PCS members were instrumental in setting up a national forum whereby managers and the union come together to discuss issues affecting our members across the country.

Recently, Reps and officials went on the road around various offices, holding roadshow recruitment events and have substantially increased our membership base.

With the rapid growth of the commercial sector and the new government contract ‘Flexible New Deal’ being launched next year it has never been more important that PCS has a high membership. You can gain a membership form via this website or from your local workplace representative.
