Most staff who have been in CPS for some time will be familiar with the various entitlements to leave, sickness absence, flexi-time, flexible working and the range of other provisions that are the right of every CPS worker.
However for many new staff or those who may never have needed to make a request for example for special leave with pay finding out what you are entitled to can involve hunting through the Personnel Management Manual (PMM) or trusting to a line manager who may not themselves be totally au fait with the agreements struck between PCS and your employer.
The following is a brief description of exactly what members are entitled to and when one can expect management to take action over issues. It also seeks to clarify just what is the difference between the various levels of complaint and discipline that members may come across in the CPS.
