Pay

 

People come to work to get paid.  It is the union's job is to get the highest price for the hours you work.

Just as importantly though is to ensure that pay is fair for example if you do work of equal value or work that is similar to other people then you should get the same wage.

Applying that principle also means that we are opposed to any form of performance related pay
