Latest information around the Corporate Transformation Project

Current position at HEO and above. All those at HEO grade involved in the Corporate Transformation selection process will now have had their posting decisions communicated to them. They, along with the SEO grades, will move into their new posts with effect from 3rd January 2012. During negotiations, PCS has actively sought to ensure that members are posted into their preferred choice. Management have confirmed this approach.

Employee relations clarification There have been a few isolated cases where the robust and legitimate presentation of a member?s case at a formal meeting has resulted in an inappropriate complaint. PCS has raised serious concerns that such cases are examples of bad practice which are inconsistent with the intent of DWP Policy.
DWP Operations - Staffing Update

PCS is campaigning for more staff in DWP. We are also campaigning against the threat of compulsory redundancies, compulsory transfers and office closures. DWP management have now conceded that more staff are needed and agreed to recruit 4,000 additional staff in the AO and EO grades for DWP Operations.

Support the Overtime Ban

After the fantastic show of solidarity and support for the union by PCS members on November 30th, the priority in the campaign now is to support the national PCS overtime ban. The NEC has called for a ban on all overtime working until 31st December 2011. Refusing to work overtime is particularly important in DWP not just in support of the campaign over our pensions but for many other reasons too.
