New employee relations framework imposed from 11 August 2003
Branches have been sent guidance and advice from the GEC on how to operate the new employee relations framework, which covers consultation arrangements and facility time.
The new arrangements are being imposed by management on 11 August after several months of discussion resulted in the union rejecting management’s draconian proposals.
PCS is campaigning against the new arrangements, and details of campaigning initiatives will be publicised shortly. However the detailed advice issued by the GEC will ensure that representatives can operate as effectively as possible within the imposed arrangements, challenge its operation where possible, and so provide as effective a service as possible for members while we campaign for an improved system.
