Committee meetings are held quarterly at the PCS eastern regional office in Peterborough commencing at 11am. The meetings for 2012 are on:
Each branch is entitled to send one observer to each committee meeting – please note that travel costs must be paid by the branch and should be included in the annual bid for funds. Any rep nominated to attend by their branch as an observer should contact Mel Ewles at melanie@pcs.org.uk as space is limited and to be included in the catering or if there are any special requirements.
The annual general meeting of the committee is held in June each year and in 2011 was on Friday, 3 June at Eastbrook, Cambridge. Each branch can nominate a voting delegate to attend and may also send an observer. Delegate travel and subsistence costs are paid from the regional committee budget but observers must be paid for from branch funds. View the 2011 annual report.

Members of the regional committee are involved in town committees around the region.
The purpose of a town committee is to assist the regional committee to co-ordinate the activity of branches and support for members at a local level. View details of the active town committees.
The committee has set up a hardship fund to support members suffering financial hardship as a result of losses incurred taking part in industrial action. View details of who can apply for financial support from the fund and download an application form.

The committee was first set up in 2004. The committee is governed by a set of rules (constitution) which is approved by the national committee of the union. Read the PCS eastern regional committee constitution.
