This toolkit is aimed at members who feel that they may have been the victims of discrimination in the workplace. It will equally be of use to union representatives who deal with personal cases, particularly in the area of discrimination.

The guide outlines the evidence and standard of proof needed to pursue an internal grievance or an industrial tribunal claim and outlines the procedures involved.

Most discrimination cases should be resolved locally using workplace policies and procedures. 

This toolkit will help you to work through the relevant internal procedures, and gives general advice on pursuing discrimination complaints.

Occasionally members may need to pursue a case at a higher level, possibly through an application to an Employment Tribunal. Again, this toollkit gives you the information necessary to do this.
