Women make up more than 60 per cent of PCS members so the issues that matter to women are very high on the agenda for PCS.

At national level we have a women’s forum made up of women representatives from all of our bargaining areas and regions.

The forum provides advice to the national executive committee on issues affecting women in the workplace, women in the union and women in wider society and provides an opportunity to share best practice between negotiators.

We also hold an annual women’s seminar and provide training for women reps through PCS regional offices.
