PCS has learnt that management at a number of locations are seeking volunteers to be deployed to juxtaposed locations in Northern France, in the event of industrial action. PCS strongly advises members not to volunteer.

Background

Members have seen recent briefings about the dispute, and are aware that a ballot for strike action is now underway. Management plan to arbitrarily remove allowances that have been paid since 2003. Members working in the areas concerned accepted their postings on the basis that these allowances would be paid.

What it means for you

The attack is on a particular group of staff now, but if management get away this ‘slash and burn’ policy, who, what and where will be next? Please support your colleagues on juxtaposed controls and help to protect your own terms and conditions, by not volunteering to undertake the work of those taking action.
