London and the south east

The main role of the office can be summarised as follows:

Acting as a focal point for all activity in London and the south east.
Negotiating on pay and conditions of service for members not organised within larger groups and:
Coordinating industrial action whether it is over job cuts, pensions or poor pay offers
Assisting branches in London and the south east in recruitment and organisation
Promoting workplace learning in London and the south east
Organising the reps training programme
Running the office services, the regional committee, the culture group associate executive committee and the public sector group. In addition, we have recently succeeded in setting up a black members and also a disabled members forum.
