Annex C - Local admin letter for facility time

The following is sample text you can use on a letter to management informing them of the date of an annual general meeting.

Dear Mr Blogs,

PCS annual general meeting

The Westham branch of the PCS, which represents members at this establishment, will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 3.00pm on Tuesday 19th February in the Headquarters Building, Westham.

As you know, under the facilities agreement (Statement of Civilian Personnel Policy – Our Approach to Employee Relations, version 2.0-2007, page 44, paragraph 20) members are allowed facility time to attend this meeting together with reasonable travelling time.

I would be grateful if you could agree these arrangements and draw the attention of line managers to the requirement to release staff so that members can attend the meeting. I attach a draft that you may find of use.
