Defence estates (DE) changes to flexible working hours (FWH)

Following on from previous circulars, our union is pleased to say that the majority of our concerns over the introduction of the non-core hours flexible working hours agreement in DE have now been addressed.

DE will now be releasing the policy document, frequently asked questions and business partner notice ahead of implementation on Monday 15 March.

We are now happy to encourage members to sign up to this new scheme, and suggest you take time to read the full document once it is released. When agreeing your usual hours with your line manager, ensure there is an understanding that start and finish times should be band-widths, and that they have no maximum size.

Can you also please keep John informed of the impact of the changes upon you, so that we can take your experiences into consideration during the review in three months time. At this point we will also be looking at the few remaining points of concern.
