It is intended that this centralisation will result in the loss of 6.5 E1 pay band posts, 1 D band post and 1 C1 band post. As a consequence, not all of the work currently carried out by the finance teams at Telford and York will be transferred to the new team at RAF Brampton.
The proposal is that the housing information centres (HICs), SSC Rosyth and directorate financial management (DFM) in Liverpool, will take on some of this work. Our union believes that the HICs, in particular, are already working at full capacity, and would particularly value the views of members in any of these areas, regarding the viability of taking on extra functions.
Our union has been offered assurances that DE-Ops. housing will not seek to enforce the mobility clause, for any of the eligible staff currently located in the finance teams in Telford or York.
