Guard service quarterly meeting

The next MoD guard service quarterly meeting has been scheduled to take place in Room 4.4 at PCS headquarters on Tuesday, February 16 2009, beginning at 11:00 and concluding around 16:00. Each MoD branch is invited to send one representative to this meeting. Those who attend must be members of the MoD guard service.

The meeting will be chaired by the MoD group president. The group secretary and GEC members with MGS/MDPGA responsibilities will also be in attendance, as will non-GEC members of the National Joint Consultative Committee.

Agenda Items will cover the following subjects:

  • Introductions and apologies
  • PCS bargaining agenda in the MGS/MDPGA
  • The Hutchinson report and the future of the MGS
  • Alternate roster trial and other consultation issues
  • Recruiting and organising in the MGS
  • Training plans for MGS representatives
  • Any other business

MGS group managers will be encouraged to release officers to attend this meeting. Travel and subsistence will be met from GEC funds. Claim forms will be available on the day.
