New stress project to pilot in MoD

One of the business areas in the department (Director Centre TLB) is running a new project to find out what has and is still causing members of staff so much stress. Members will no doubt ask why it has taken this long.

Prior to the 2010 general election, the Conservative party line was that they believed we needed 25,000 less civilians in the Ministry of Defence. Once they had formed a coalition government, they hastily conducted the Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR), which reported in October 2010 and not surprisingly announced 25,000 civilian job losses alongside 17,000 military job cuts.
