This briefing updates you on the progress made regarding the establishment of the proposed PCS credit union.
Please also see a detailed progress report that covers the work undertaken since ADC 2007. This was provided to the national executive committee for its’ April Meeting.
A launch date will be agreed once key documents have been prepared and a sufficient level of commitment from potential credit union members secured. A verbal update will be given to ADC 2008.
Set out below are details of the contacts for promotional materials and credit union speakers.
New promotional leaflets and posters setting out the benefits to PCS members of joining the proposed credit union are available.

A pool of speakers who can address PCS meetings to promote the credit union is being developed. Please forward all requests to Molly Moyo, credit union manager on 020 7801 2376 or creditunion@pcs.org.uk
The first of the regional credit union roadshows have now been booked. Please see the schedule of events below:

Arrangements are being made in Scotland, Wales and the remaining regions to organise a credit union roadshow through Geoff Martin, the credit union campaign co-ordinator, on 020 8644 2965 or geoff.martin@blueyonder.co.uk
Work has started on the credit union application pack and formalising the other statutory requirements governing the launch of our credit union. This material will be available shortly.
A database of members and activists who are interested in becoming credit union local co-ordinators is being developed. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should contact Molly Moyo - creditunion@pcs.org.uk
