As part of PCS’ International Development Learning Fund project, this 'Tax and International Development Day' is being held 10.30 to 4pm on Wednesday 25th November 2009, at PCS HQ Clapham Junction.

The event is open to all Revenue & Customs PCS members from across the UK.  It is being co-organised by PCS international and Revenue & Customs Group officers; speakers from several development organisations which focus on tax issues have been invited to participate: War on Want, ActionAid and Christian Aid.   Sessions will include: why tax is a life and death issue in developing countries; the human cost of tax havens; solutions, from the G20 to improving international accounting standards; the Revenue & Customs campaign against job cuts.
