This is a 3 day course aimed at new branch representatives – or members who wish to become representatives. The course aims to develop your understanding of how PCS works as well as developing confidence.

The course includes:

• Your rights as a rep
• How PCS is organised and how policy is made
• Resolving workplace issues
• Recruiting new members

Reps will identify areas of interest where they wish to undertake more training and develop in their role as a rep. This course is accredited by local TUC Trade Union Education Centres in conjunction with PCS. There will also be an opportunity to meet with a PCS Lay Tutor or the Regional Learning Organiser to discuss further accredited training with the TUC.
