PCS members will be joining other trade unionists, anti fascist, anti racist campaigners and the public tomorrow (21 June), in a national demonstration and carnival parade organised by Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR) and Unite Against Fascism (UAF).

The event supported by PCS is an opportunity for the anti-fascist majority to show our opposition to fascist and racist organisations like the British National Party (BNP).

People will be assembling at 12 noon, Tooley Street behind City Hall in London SE1 and march to Trafalgar Square.

The march and carnival parade will include floats, marching bands, speakers and banners from a huge range of organisations opposed to fascism and racism.

Commenting, Mark Serwotka, PCS general secretary, said: “The national demonstration and carnival parade will see the anti-fascist majority coming together to say to no to the racist fascist ideology of the far right organisations like the BNP.

"Their message of hate cannot be allowed to undermine the ideals of hope, tolerance and respect which is why PCS is supporting Saturday’s national demonstration and parade.”
