			<title>Road safety: protected thanks to PCS members</title>
			<description>A long running campaign in the Vehicle and Operators Services Agency (VOSA) has seen off proposals to privatise the agency's work.  Jim Fitzpatrick MP, minister for Transport, announced the decision in the House of Commons in July, following a two year campaign by PCS members and sister unions Prospect and Unite.</description>

			<title>Rallying against racism</title>
			<description>PCS members took part in a national demonstration against racism in June.  The event was organised by Love Music, Hate Racism and Unite Against Fascism to give people a chance to show their opposition to fascist and racist organisations like the British National Party (BNP) and build for a year long campaign ahead of the 2009 European elections.</description>

			<description>Branch officers have launched a campaign for flexible working hours at the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA).
