All PCS branches received a campaign pack to help mark the day and many have taken the opportunity to join in using the posters, online videos and 'pledge' provided.
Yesterday the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust held their official event for survivors and people who work to stop such crimes against humanity happening again.
Some readings told the stories of brave public sector workers who used their positions to frustrate the Nazis.
One was Paul Grüninger, a Swiss border guard who defied his bosses to help German Jews escape into his country.
