Activists are urged to remind members to contact the union if their address or working arrangements change.

Members’ duties to notify us about changes were clarified in the new subscriptions policy, now agreed by our national executive and due to take effect from 1 January 2009.

The aim is to improve our central records and help us to better communicate with members.

The policy also introduced a new unrecognised rate for agency workers under the age of 22 years of one third of the maximum subs, currently £3.86 a month.

This aims to help us recruit agency workers and reflects the lower national minimum wage for the under-22s.
