In an attempt to ward off grammatical gremlins and such like, I thought it prudent to highlight bloopers, which I have been told have occurred in church bulletins and sermons!
The TUC Educational Trust offers two bursaries of £800 each to enable trade union members to visit a European Union country in 2008/09. These bursaries are from a trust established by Clive Jenkins.
The aim of the visit will be to study an aspect of trade unionism, training or employment and to write a report for TUC Education. Applicants need to plan their study project and to estimate costs. Deaf and hard of hearing people in NI will be at the centre of the ‘Healthier Lives for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People’ Project, to develop their own package of holistic support.
It is about increasing options and quality of life through increasing opportunities and access to education, employment and leisure activities for the deaf and hard of hearing community.

It is also the theme for the Belfast City Carnival on Saturday, June 28. ‘Gulliver’s Circus’ will include floats; stilt walkers, costumes and hundreds of performers will parade through the city centre before finishing at Custom House Square at around 3pm.
