Prison Service (NOMS) group

There are currently some 5,000 members in a range of jobs across the Prison Service, including managers, governors, instructional officers, administration and support workers, and colleagues working on the rehabilitation of offenders through employment and training.

The group is divided into eight areas known as branches. Each is overseen by a branch executive committee, which includes members like you, and you are encouraged to get involved.

Branches support the group executive committee (GEC). For further information about branches and the GEC check out the contacts section.

Remember, you are the union. We can only maintain a strong, representative voice in the workplace through our collective strength. This means encouraging colleagues to join PCS if they haven't already done so.

Each year members working in the Prison Service get together for a conference to debate issues relating to pay, terms and conditions, and changes to working practices. Follow the link on the left hand side for more information.
