PCS negotiates all conditions of employment for staff working in NOMS and deals with all policies and procedures that govern how we work, including, for example;

  • Recruitment and promotion rules
  • Capabilities and attendance policies
  • Hours of work
  • Flexible working
  • Conduct, performance and grievance policies

Covering this body of work is a team of GEC members, which handles all HR issues, and provides the PCS delegation to the NOMS Personnel Management & Equal Opportunities Whitley meeting.

This section will contain information on current issues, reports on negotiating meetings and other relevant documents.

In addition there is a Human Resources Sub-Committee, which meets 3 times per year and comprises the Group Officer (Stephen Withers) plus a delegate from each PCS NOMS Branch.
