There are currently over 5,500 members in a range of jobs across NOMS (HM Prison Service), including managers, governors, instructional officers, administration and support workers, and colleagues working on the rehabilitation of offenders through employment and training.

NOMS is an executive agency within the Ministry of Justice.

The PCS NOMS group is currently divided into nine areas known as branches. Each is overseen by a branch executive committee, which includes members like you, and you are encouraged to get involved.

Remember, you are the union. We can only maintain a strong, representative voice in the workplace through our collective strength. This means encouraging colleagues to join PCS if they haven't already done so.

Each year members working in NOMS get together for a conference to debate issues relating to pay, terms and conditions, and changes to working practices.
