In this section you will find details of the NOMS Workforce
Modernisation (WFM) programme: a series of six interlinked projects
aimed at transforming the way NOMS works in prisons and HQ, and
introducing a new pay and grading structure from April 2009.

WFM includes a number of both threats and opportunities for PCS members but re-inforces, overall, the need for the Union to be highly organised in the workplace and have an active and interested membership eager and willing to participate in the affairs of their Union.

Only in this way can we obtain the collective strength to ensure effective negotiation and get the best outcome for members.
