Agency workers

Temporary agency workers are widely used by government and commercial sector employers.

While some agency workers just cover short-term absences, in many cases they do the same work as permanent or fixed and colleagues, often for extended periods of time and almost always on worse pay and terms and conditions.

PCS campaigns, negotiate and organises agency workers with the aim of achieving comparable pay and terms and conditions and access to permanent work.
 
We are currently running a survey to ensure we have the evidence to argue for better rights for agency workers and so that we can organise effectively.
