These pages feature campaigns relevant to green, fair trade and ethical consumer issues.

Let's clean up fashion

Labour Behind the Label's 'Let's Clean Up Fashion' campaign is about exposing the exploitation of workers who produce clothing and footwear for our high street shops.

Research carried out by Labour Behind the Label shows that high street retailers are not seriously tackling this issue despite claiming they are committed to a living wage for workers.

Labour Behind the Label  has produced a series of postcards that people can send to shops asking what they are doing about this.

If you would like copies of these to distribute in your workplace contact Anne Elliot-Day at PCS, email: annes@pcs.org.uk

For more information about this campaign see the Let's Clean up Fashion website.

RightCorprateWrongs

We have been supporting the RightCorporateWrongs campaign, co-ordinated by the Trade Justice Movement(of which PCS is a member).

The campign has been successful in securing amendments to the Companies Act 2006 requiring listed companies to report on their environmental and social impacts and on employee and supplier issues.

Boycott Coca-Cola

PCS supports the international boycott of Coca-Cola called by Sinaltrainal, the Colombian Food and Drink Workers' Union.

This is in protest at Coca-Cola's alleged abuses of workers' rights and of trade unionists in its bottling plants in Colombia.

See the Boycott Coca-Cola pages for more informaion and to find out how you can get involved.

Vote for Trade Justice

Unfair international trade rules are stacked in favour of the richest countries and big business while poor countries are forced to open their markets, threatening the livelihoods of thousands of farmers and forcing local companies out of business.

If you think this is wrong join the biggest stage of the campaign being run by the Trade Justice Movement and register your 'Vote for Trade Justice' on the Trade Justice website.
