GreenWorks - TUC GreenWorkplaces project report 2008-10A report on the TUC's union modernisation funded greenworkplaces projects 2008-2010. You can download it from the TUC website.
A report on greenworkplaces projects at Defra, the British Museum, Corus, Friends Provident, Scottish Power, and the TUC during 2006/7. The project, funded by the Carbon Trust, focused on energy savings.

The TUC has published this in depth guide for trade unionists interested in getting actively involved in green issues in the workplace. It has lots of useful information as well as resources such as a model agreement, tips on running green events and sample surveys. Waste online has a useful information sheet 'Waste at Work' with advice, tips and sources of further information on reducing waste, recycling and buying 'green' products.

Envirowise is a government-funded organisation that offers free, confidential advice to UK organisations to help them to reduce their environmental impact.
Envirowise produces information on energy efficiency, waste & recycling and water saving at work. A useful guide, Green Officiency, has tips on to how to start greening your workplace.

The Carbon Trust helps and advises organisations on saving energy and cutting carbon emissions.
You can order a free starter pack with tips on saving energy including an energy saving fact sheet, a poster and stickers from the Carbon Trust website.

In September 2006 the TUC published First Steps to a Greener Workplace, a guide that describes what the TUC and unions are doing on climate change and related green issues. Email green@pcs.org.uk if you would like a copy.
The unions in the Trade Union Trade Union Sustainable Development Advisory Committee (TUSDAC) produced a major report, Greening the Workplace, in June 2005.
Greening the Workplace aims to encourage trade unions to tackle the growing challenge of climate change, by using our influence at work, in our own organisations, through contacts with Government, and internationally.
The report contains a series of recommendations for action that the government, employers and unions should take. The full report is available on the TUC website.
The Department for Transport has produced a useful guide, The role of human resources staff and trades union representatives in supporting travel plans, that may be useful for those involved in negotiating workplace travel plans. See the DfT website for this and other useful guidance.
In 2004 The Department for International Development (DFID) and Rough Guides teamed up to produce The Rough Guide to a Better World.
