TUC bursaries & awards

The TUC educational trust offers a number of bursaries and awards.

George Guy lifelong learning award 2008-09.

TUC educational trust is sponsoring an award for learning who are able to demonstrate that they have helped members into learning. Any kind of learning (trade union education, vocational training, political education, personal development) will be eligible for consideration. The award will consist of a £300 bursary to be spent on books or on course fees to support further study. Applications will be judged by Congress learning reps award panel in June. Bursaries for diploma courses - with the Mary MacArthur educational trust

Ten bursaries of £925 to students offered a place on a one-year diploma course at one of the residential colleges: Ruskin College, Northern College, Coleg Harlech, Hillcroft College, Fircroft College or Newbattle Abbey College. Details are on the unionlearn website:

Study visits
