Members and reps will recall that PCS held the 1st VOA vocational forum in December 2007.
It was generally thought by everyone involved to be a great success. The vast majority of VOA branches were represented and reps discussed and debated nearly 60 proposals.
A recent briefing updated you all regarding the progress made by the VOAC on those proposals.
Its now time to begin to plan for the 2nd VVF and this circular is the first to give you some details.
The following arrangements have now been made
When: 10 and 11 December 2008
Where: PCS HQ Clapham Junction London
Who can attend: Each VO Branch will be able to send two reps
Format: Exact format details for the forum will follow in due course.
However the VOAC have planned to begin the event on the afternoon of the 10 December and conclude no later than 4.00pm on the 11 December.
It is therefore envisaged that the vast majority of delegates will require one overnight stay in London.
Cost: VO reps to the forum will be funded centrally from the Revenue and Customs group
The VOAC are looking forward to the event and hope it will inform and shape the future PCS negotiating agenda with VO management building on the success of the first forum.
Make sure your branch gets involved. Let’s aim for 100% attendance and participation.
More details regarding the timetable will follow in the next few weeks
