Valuation forum - dates for your diary

Introduction

The 2010 Valuation vocational forum

I am now able to give you notice of the annual Valuation forum. It will take place at PCS HQ London on Tuesday 30 November and Wednesday 1 December 2010.

I am also able to give you more detailed information regarding the timetable leading up to this event.

Your VOAC (valuation office agency committee) consider that this forum that focuses specifically on VO issues, as well as the big PCS issues of the day, is an important date in the PCS calendar. It is open to reps from Valuation branches and from their feed back in earlier years it has been seen to be an extremely valuable event.

Some practicalities

  • VO branch secretaries should send their proposals as a word document by email to valuationoffice@pcs.org.uk ensuring their branch details are clearly shown

  • the names of the two branch reps should also be sent by email to the same address
  • the forum is funded centrally by the R&C group
  • travel should be booked early to ensure the best prices
  • claim/advance forms and codes will be sent out before the end of August
  • it is anticipated that an overnight stay will be required for the majority of reps on Tuesday 30 November. However the 4.30pm finish on Wednesday 1 December should enable all reps to return home that evening.

A spreadsheet giving details of progress of proposals from the 2009 VVF will be issued shortly as well as another more wide ranging briefing.
