GWAC letter for issue to MPs re WFC

To support and highlight how the workforce change programme is affecting Women who are employed by HMRC, the chair of the GWAC has drafted a letter (please see link below for letter) to be sent to local MP’s to raise the issue with Harriet Harman, minister for women.

Branches are asked to make available copies of the enclosed letter to their members, who should complete the areas in bold and post it to their local MP’s as soon as possible.

Members may amend the template as appropriate to reflect their personal circumstances.

To date the GWAC have been disappointed at the lack of Harriet Harman’s interest with the concerns that the chair has raised on two separate occasions.

It is important therefore to ensure that as many MP’s as possible, across all parties, raise these concerns to encourage Ms Harman to intervene with the WFC program.

Members should be advised that the group office would be extremely interested in the replies and correspondence that they may enter into. Copies should be sent to John Coote at PCS HQ or maybe faxed to 020 7801 2888.

We will keep branches informed of the progress being made on this issue.
