Bargaining areas

PCS Scotland is a national region within the Union with six full-time officers, one temporary project worker, and three support staff operating from two offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. PCS Scotland logo

PCS represents workers in a wide range of organisations in both the public and private sectors.

Almost without exception every bargaining area covered by PCS Scotland is accountable to the Scottish parliament.

The pay remits are cleared by both departmental or agency ministers and ultimately by the Scottish minister for finance and public reform.

Equally the comprehensive spending review process is dealt with separately by the finance minister.

Other Scottish cabinet ministers are also directly involved in taking decisions which affect our members both directly and indirectly.
