Facility time at Scottish Government is value for money

In response to attacks by the so-called Tax Payers Alliance on the cost of Scottish Government trade union facility time, Lynn Henderson, Scottish secretary of the PCS Union, said: "The partnership works well on both sides and I think represents very good value for money when you look at what it delivers."

A spokesman for the Scottish Government said it had a "partnership agreement" with the appropriate trade unions to help with "effective engagement" in collective bargaining negotiations.
