General secretary opposes cuts in Welsh public services

13 February 2009

PCS general secretary, Mark Serwotka, has spoken out against possible cuts in public services in Wales arising from a reduction in the Assembly government's budget caused by the recession.

Speaking last night on the TV current affairs programme, ‘Dragon’s Eye’, he said that unions and politicians in Wales should jointly campaign for increased investment in public services to help stimulate economic recovery.

Mark’s comments are reported on the BBC website and the ‘Dragon’s Eye’ programme can also be viewed online on the BBC Wales website.
