PCS/Thompsons Asbestos Register

Asbestos-related ill health and disease tends not to show up for a significant number of years following exposure to asbestos. 

Health screening/monitoring tends not to be effective in identifying early signs of emerging asbestos-related health problems.  But it is important that a record is kept of possible exposure, so that those affected in future years can readily identify workplaces where such exposure has occurred.

PCS can give access to a structured and permanent database, operated through Thompsons solicitors, which allows members to identify where, when and in what circumstances asbestos exposure may have occurred. 

In the possible but unlikely event that any member subsequently develops asbestos related disease the database provides a valuable practical resource in collating information which may help in pursuing a claim.
