PCS has about 20,000 members in Wales, based in UK government departments, the Welsh devolved area and the commercial sector.
We have an office in Cardiff which acts as a focal point for PCS activity in Wales, assisting branches with recruitment, organisation and campaigns, providing training for reps and promoting workplace learning.
The office also provides individual and collective representation for members whose employers are based in Wales, such as the Welsh Government, DVLA, ONS, the Royal Mint and the many Welsh 'non-departmental public bodies'. There is an elected Wales Committee, which works with the full-time office staff to provide leadership and co-ordination for the union's work.
Details are now available of the courses arranged for PCS representatives, to take place during the early part of 2017.
All PCS members in Wales aged 27 years and under are invited to attend the next meeting of the PCS Wales/Cymru Young Members' Network, which will take place in Cardiff on Tuesday, 11 October. The venue is the PCS boardroom in the Unite regional office, 1 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9HA and the meeting will run from 3pm to 5pm.
