Assumed consent is not suspended
PCS negotiators met with Working Age Directorate management on 14 November 2017 to discuss festive leave arrangements. The issue of Assumed Consent was raised as some members had notified concerns that they would be requested to work until 5pm during the festive period even if they had a fixed start time. Senior Working Age Directorate management confirmed that it was “business as usual” over the festive period with regards the Employee Deal and that Assumed Consent would not be suspended.
If there are examples of local Working Age Directorate suspending Assumed Consent during the festive period then please challenge this with them immediately.
