Esther McVey Resigns as DWP Secretary of State

15 Nov 2018

PCS reps from all Universal Credit Service Centre sites met yesterday and unanimously condemned the way that UC is being rolled out, the problems it is causing for PCS members and the lack of staff.

Now Esther McVey, the DWP Secretary Of State responsible for delivering Universal Credit, has resigned over Brexit. The group executive committee believes that the rollout should now be halted until the problems are sorted and more staff recruited.
