The DWP group campaigns hard for members and works tirelessly to improve the pay, terms and conditions and job security through our negotiations with DWP management, ministers and the government.

PCS funds these pages because they are vital for communicating to DWP members, who we hope will increasingly use, contribute to and enjoy this site and use it as an important resource.

News from the GEC October

24 Oct 2008

The DWP Group Executive Committee (GEC) is the committee elected by you to negotiate on behalf of all union members in the DWP. The GEC met on 14/15 October and firstly received a full report of the group negotiations and the national pay dispute from NEC members. The GEC agreed to continue with the talks in DWP and to fully support national dispute and campaign.

Child maintenance enforcement commission

16 Oct 2008

The transfer of staff from CSA to CMEC will proceed as planned on 1 November 2008 with staff due to receive letters of transfer shortly following a due diligence exercise identifying all staff who currently work for CSA and their status. An order in Parliament is due in the next fortnight enabling the commission to take on the executive functions from the secretary of state.
