The Efra GEC will make our view clear to the Department that this year our members across the Department, agencies and NDPBs receive a pay rise they deserve, and not the small amounts we have seen for almost 10 years now. The Efra GEC like other groups across the civil service will be submitting a pay claim based on the national PCS position on pay
The Natural England pay award has now been published.
Members will be acutely aware of the pressure being put on them and their colleagues, especially with EU Exit work, and the discrepancies between pay in Natural England and other areas that fall under Defra. The 1.5% headline figure set out by the employer masks that it is not fully consolidated for all.
Defra has now published the 2018 pay offer which we have rejected.
Following the publication of the 2018 Treasury pay remit guidance, the document that determines the pay of workers in the civil service and its related areas, PCS, alongside FDA and Prospect, launched a judicial review application of the process followed by the government.
