AGM 2019 Calling notice
PCS Proud is governed by its annual general meeting which elects representatives for the year ahead and also sets its course of direction as an organisation.
Members have ultimate control over PCS Proud’s work because they have the right to submit and carry motions that instruct the incoming Proud national committee to undertake the work that you want them to do.
We are proud to be a democratic voice for our LGBT+ members and invite members to attend the AGM on Saturday, 9 November in our North West regional hub in Liverpool.
We know that weekends are precious but since the employer removed facilities time, or time off, to attend union events when it comes to this kind of activity, we have had to consider different ways to remain both democratic and accessible to members.
In order to support members, reasonable travel and subsistence costs are met to facilitate members attendance at the AGM.
Never before has getting involved in PCS Proud been more important. We face LGBT+ phobia on the rise, people standing outside of schools opposing the teaching of LGBT+ people's existence, and continued campaigning against some of the most marginalised in our community.
Your voice is, as always, the most important thing to Proud.
I also have to apologise. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this year’s annual report has been delayed but will be made available to members at the time of elections results/notice of ballot in time for the AGM.
So, come along to the AGM and have your say. It is incredibly important that you nominate and elect your national committee and tell them what you want over the next year. You’ll find details of how to do these things documents below, which include forms to complete for the AGM and last year's minutes:
- Proud National Committee Nomination Form
- Proud AGM Postal Ballot Request Form
- Motion to PCS Proud Annual General Meeting
- Proud AGM Minutes 2018
- Annual Report English
- Standing Orders Committee Report English
- Annual Report Welsh
