Charter for LGBT+ Equality

In 2014 the Proud AGM agreed the creation of the Proud Charter, a set of standards that Proud believes all LGBT+ people, within and outwith PCS, should be able to expect at work, outside of work and as part of wider social policy.

Our Charter has been used successfully as part of various UK and regional elections with candidates asked to sign up, signalling their agreement to uphold the Charter if they are successfully elected.

Members are encouraged to sign up to the Charter and to promote it among colleagues to encourage greater support for LGBT+ colleagues and the wider LGBT+ community.

Election candidates can sign up to the Charter by emailing, confirming their name, which election they are standing in (Local Government, Scottish Parliament, General Election, etc.), party affiliation and any additional comments they wish to provide.
