This one day course covers the following:
- What is dyslexia?
- The range of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) (neurodiversity) and what possible signs/indicators to look for to identify if someone may have one or more SpLDs
- The myths and facts of dyslexia (positive aspect of dyslexia)
- What the law says, the Equality Act 2010 and reasonable adjustments
- Support what the employer/union can do and signposting - sharing good practice for screening/assessments
- Evaluation of session.
